Ever want to know how to get the Beyonce’ flair? Beyonce’s Countdown video has got the world wide web abuzz and I’ve got tips that will help you get 1. the skin, 2. the lips and 3. the eyes … “Countdown” sexy!

LOOK 1, SKIN :
Ever want to know how Beyonce’ gets her luminous complexion? It’s called “heavy highlighting.” Use a light moisturizer to allow the foundation and concealer to glide onto the skin. When highlighting with a cream concealer or foundation to create this gorgeous halo effect through the center of the face, use a cream concealer that is 2 shades lighter than your face. Keeping your skin tone in mind , understand the range of color that is 2 shades lighter and 2 shades darker can be very broad. * Pro-Makeup Artist tip – If there is a big jump in color, use the next lightest shade and blend heavily with your foundation.

Add concealer under the eye, along the nose around the mouth and lips and over any skin that requires additional coverage. Always remember to blend thoroughly.

Apply dime-sized drop foundation to the skin with a short haired brush in a circular motion. Blend entirely through the face and neck, not leaving streaks throughout the skin. Covering these areas of the face will give you a smooth complexion and a great base for your additional makeup like blush or bronzer.

Use a loose, fluffy powder brush to set your foundation, applying with a fluffy powder brush gives a soft and natural finish to a gently applied foundation. Create a light contour by adding a matte, skin toned blush or bronzing powder along the hairline, temple, *Pro-Makeup Artist Tip – below the hallow in the cheek bone and along the jawline. Apply with an angled powder brush.

LOOK 2, LIPS:
If it’s a light lip that you want, it’s a light lip you will get! Make a lip statement with a rich neutral. Look for a moist and lustrous, long-wearing texture.

How to get the perfectly luscious lip: Prep lips by hydrating lips with a clear lip balm. Create a boundary from lip to skin by filling the full lip with a flesh toned lip liner. Add more definition by lining the outer most borders of the upper and lower lip lines with a soft sable or cinnamon toned liner. Use a lip brush to add apply your lipstick. My color choice, Nude Attitude lipstick a mix of (equal parts pink and orange, warm and cool) and was blended with cool and warm beige tones to bring the color to a new level, with a cool undertone and a warm overtone. Perfect for a variety of skin tones.

LOOK 3, EYES:
Want Beyonce’s bright eyes? Play up pretty eyes by starting with a small spot of cream eye shadow base throughout the lower lash line from the lash-line to the crease. This will allow the pop of color to blend softly across the eyelid. Tap the bold and bright pressed eyeshadow formula onto the eyelid with a fine haired, eyeshadow brush. Use a wispy haired eyeshadow brush to gently blend a rust toned eyeshadow between the center crease of the eyelids, creating depth and subtle dimension. Create a dramatic crease by using a stiff haired crease brush. Blend a deep toned shadow along the outer lash line into the outer crease. And now for the liner! Begin by gently pressing your finger to the outer corner of the eye, creating a flat surface for drawing on your liquid or cream liner. Add liquid eyeliner to the upper lash line by using an angle brush. Start by adding your liner to the inner corner of the eye. Point the angled corner of the brush toward the inner eye. Sketch the liner directly above the lash line, continue through the eye. Once you’ve reached the outer corner of the eye, point the angled brush in the opposite direction. Press the brush to the skin at the outer corner and connect the lines. This will give you a perfected winged-out liner look.

Want more definition? Blend a sparse amount of the taupe and blush toned eyeshadow directly under the lower lash line. This technique adds depth to the eye. Add black mascara to upper lashes only, spare the lower lashes. Adding dark tones to the upper eye areas creates the illusion that your eyes are bigger and brighter, highlighting all of your hard work!
