I am celebrating moms around the world, from the single mother who holds it all down , to the stay at home mother who does it all, the celeb mom who is the mom-ager and friend and even the FLOTOUS who takes care of the girls, the POTUS and represents us around the world. The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Anna Wintour, host the most glamorous models, actors, singers, designers at the annual Costume Institute’s annual ball. This year, fashion’s finest are celebrating Prada as well as Elsa Schiaparelli, who together comprise the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Impossible Conversations.”

I am back! This one woman show is back, ready to take the blogosphere’s stage once again. I have experienced life lessons, work highs and lows (because with highs become lows). Tons of makeup jobs, heaps of makeup products, many events, tv shows, award shows, news, indie-movies, documentaries and more – I was busy!

Jessica Simpson was criticized as the ” biggest pregnant celebrity ever”, as well as ” had the longest pregnancy” ever and of course had the “biggest baby ever.” I say mazel Jess!

Kerry Washington made history as she became the second Black- American woman to headline a primetime tv show and of course she killed it! Scandal which airs on Thursday nights on ABC.

Carla Bruni-Sarkosy made a fashion statement in flats. The former singer, model and First Lady of France hit the streets of NYC with a slender post baby physique in dare I say, flats!

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middelton celebrated their 1 year wedding anniversary. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Beyonce Knowles-Carter is the pop star of all pop stars, a 16-time Grammy winner, and beauty and style icon. The singer, actress, and new mommy can now add one more title to her long list of accomplishments. Beyonce took home the coveted title of People’s Most Beautiful Person. The entertainment powerhouse might have taken People magazine’s most beautiful title but her focus is her new title “Mother” and her bouncing baby Blue.

The White House Correspondence Dinner was not just the talk of Washington, it is the comedy hour seen round the world. I have always wanted to attend this event which was once known as the “Nerd Prom”, it is now become the spring’s hottest ticket. The dinner is now the most glamorous, star-studded and politically savvy event out there. It’s just my cup of tea.

On a somber note, hip-hop and music lost a trailblazer. Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Beastie Boys lost his battle with a rare form of cancer. Not before being honored with music’s top prize, the Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Thanks for changing hip-hop and pop music!

My favorite news to report is the HBO series GIRLS. This show speaks to a generation, my generation. If you can get past the startling scenarios that occur in the first episode and admit that something this undesirable has happened to you or at least someone you know you will love it as much as I do. GIRLS is the tale of 4 twenty year old gals living in Brooklyn, trying to find their life’s purpose in this shit hole economy and also trying to get a grip on the pivotal roles that sex, love and STDs play in their lives. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!

How to get a fiercely fab up-do:
Step 1: Start with dry, wavy all over hair. Create a middle part and leave a few tendrils out in front while sweeping the rest of your hair back.

Step 2: Grab your hair at the ends and horizontally roll your hair up loosely against the nape of your neck. Secure in place with bobby pins.

Step 3: Curl loose strands with a medium barrel hairstyle and mist with finishing spray to secure your style.

Most nail lovers take their color cue from the great outdoors. As the seasons change and the weather warms, nails become the first to get into the colorful mood.

I’m thrilled that Vogue opting for a gorgeous, voluptuous, woman who’s body is killer, but is a closer representation than let’s say a Kate Moss or a Gisele. On the cover Lopez has cascading locks reminiscent of Cindy Crawford in the late 90′s, full angular brows, deep smokey brown eyes, sculpted cheeks and a deep matte lip. She wears a fiery red Bottega Veneta dress from the spring/summer 2012 collection. In the mag JLo dishes about motherhood, divorce and keeping her physique in tip-top condition. The cover alone makes you want to snatch it right off of the news stands but the inside story is sure to be a real page turner.
