It takes an attractive and confident woman to pull off a short or dramatic haircut. Cameron Diaz’s look is certainly unconventional but remember, we all fell in love with the Mary. Yes, Mary, as in “There’s Something About Mary,” The really cool blonde with the hot body and great personality. Take a moment, let it sink in. Yeah, the hot body and the great personality.
This said Diaz’s short, bedhead styled, blonde bob is fabulous and so was her body hugging Monique Lhuillier cocktail dress! Yet there is a culture of women (and men) who can’t get past the perceived beauty that is associated with long blonde hair. Sexy is what you make is but maybe it’s not the haircut that’s ugly! Maybe it’s the ugly perception that women are only beautiful if they’ve got long straight hair, or weight less than 100 lbs, or that beauty falls off a cliff at 25 or sexuality ends at menopause ( ask Jane Fonda ) .
Personally, I think the Cameron Diaz is a pretty hot chick. The 39, superstar and former model has a svelte body and looks stupefying in haute-couture as she poses for paparazzi on red carpets. Her California beach body is the envy of women everywhere, her co-stars are quoted saying she lights up a room with her smile and let’s not forget the woman’s legs go on and on and on. So does her career!
Looks may fade, hair grows back but a good personality is forever. Dare to be yourself. Remember, it’s what’s on the inside that counts!
